ixchel Balam Presents

B&B Founding stays

In late March, we opened Ixchel-Balam, a Sanctuary Campus in Mérida and the first physical home of Black Woman Sanctuary programming. Since then, we have welcomed facilitators, retreat leaders, and our community for Sanctuary Days.

At Ixchel-Balam, sanctuary is a practice of care, beauty, rest, wonder, and generous hospitality. I am so happy to share our most special offering yet: the Ixchel-Balam bed-and-breakfast experience.

Before we introduce it to the wider public, we are opening our doors to a small circle of women who have known, supported, encouraged, or inspired this work. You are receiving this invitation because you are part of that circle, and it would be especially meaningful to welcome you during this early season.

Over the next six months, we will host one intimate Founder Stay each month: a four-night experience with time to rest, enjoy the beauty of the sanctuary, explore Mérida, and experience the particular kind of care we are cultivating here.

Our first is just for you…

Each Founder Stay includes:

  • Four nights at Ixchel-Balam
  • Hot Breakfast each morning
  • A Founder’s Care Package upon arrival
  • One restorative body treatment
  • A celebratory dinner on the final evening
  • One year of membership in Black Woman Sanctuary
  • The opportunity to renew your membership at a protected “grandmother rate,” reserved for this earliest circle of founding members
